Coffee House Press is pleased to announce it has been approved by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) for a Grants for Arts Projects award of $35,000 to support the publication and promotion of new books of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry, including works in translation.
This grant will support the production and publication of seven new titles by authors from around the United States and world: The Seers by Sulaiman Addonia (Eritrea and Ethiopia); Audition by Pip Adam (Aotearoa/New Zealand); The Mind Reels by Fredrik deBoer (West Haven, CT); Terry Dactyl by Mattilda Bernstein Sycamore (Seattle, WA); The Aquatics by Osvalde Lewat (Cameroon and France) translated from the French by Maren Baudet-Lackner (France); Hyper by Agri Ismaïl (Iraqi Kurdistan and Sweden); and an as-yet-unannounced title.
The NEA will award 1,127 Grants for Arts Projects awards nationwide totaling more than $31.8 million as part of the recent announcement of fiscal year 2025 grants.
