Coffee House Press is pleased to welcome Mark Haber as Director of Marketing effective March 5, 2023.
Mark Haber has been a bookseller as well as the operations manager at Brazos Bookstore in Houston, Texas for the past ten years. With a deep devotion to books, especially international literature, Mark has brought excitement and passion to countless authors, translators, and events. Besides curating and hosting the monthly Brazos book group for the last seven years, Mark was a juror for the Best Translated Book Award and a juror for the National Endowment for the Arts translation grant. Mark has organized and hosted dozens of panels and events with both authors and translators. Also a writer, Mark’s novels have been translated into many languages and his debut novel, Reinhardt’s Garden, was longlisted for a PEN/Hemingway Award.

These attributes, as well as his love of books, will serve Mark well as he leads our marketing department in the future.”
In addition to his two published novels, Reinhardt’s Garden and Saint Sebastian’s Abyss, Mark Haber has published numerous articles in a wide variety of publications and is an experienced teacher and academic lecturer in the field of creative writing. He holds a BA Degree in English from the University of South Florida.
