Class Description
In this class, we'll use creative nonfiction techniques to explore, challenge, and reimagine the concept of borders—whether physical, cultural, emotional, or metaphorical. Through discussions, close readings of boundary-breaking texts, and writing exercises, students will investigate the ways in which storytelling can dismantle divides and foster connection.
The class encourages participants to reflect on their own experiences, map the borders in their lives, and envision a world where those barriers dissolve. By the end, students will have drafted a piece of personal writing that speaks to the transformative power of crossing borders.
